Amazon is seeking a Payroll Analyst to manage payroll operations for South Korea. You'll handle end-to-end payroll processes and require strong auditing and problem-solving skills. This role demands 3-5 years of payroll operation experience in a corporate environment.
You have 3-5 years of payroll operation experience in a large customer-oriented corporate environment — you understand the complexities of payroll processes and are adept at managing them efficiently. Your auditing skills are exceptional, allowing you to ensure accuracy in payroll data and processes. You possess strong problem-solving skills, which enable you to tackle challenges that arise in payroll operations effectively. Your knowledge of payroll systems is extensive, and you are passionate about providing excellent customer service to employees regarding payroll inquiries. You have experience in finance, with at least 1 year in a finance role and 2 years in Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable. You are familiar with applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses, which helps you make informed decisions.
Experience with standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL, and VBA skills is highly desirable. You have a knack for using data to influence business decisions and a background in corporate finance, including budgeting and planning.
In this role, you will take care of South Korea payroll operations, which includes processing payroll with a payroll vendor and auditing payroll-related data to ensure accuracy. You will manage human resource data in Peoplesoft and review and process benefits programs in the monthly payroll cycle. Your responsibilities will also include processing new hires, terminations, and employee maintenance, as well as setting up benefit deductions. You will handle manual check calculations and work with the vendor to process stop payments and reversals. Additionally, you will back up other payroll analysts as needed and produce timely responses to employee inquiries regarding payroll. You will also be responsible for recording stock transactions, relocation transactions, and processing annual tax filing activities.
