Staff Engineer – Web Analytics & Infrastructure

You have 5+ years of experience in backend engineering, with a strong focus on building scalable systems that handle large volumes of data. Your expertise in JavaScript and Node.js allows you to create efficient and robust applications that meet business needs. You understand the intricacies of web analytics and have experience working with tools like Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to derive actionable insights from data.

You possess a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, and have successfully implemented solutions that enhance performance and scalability. What you'll do

As a Staff Engineer at Intercom, you will take ownership of the middle-to-backend architecture of our marketing web stack. You will work closely with data scientists and the GTM analytics team to evolve how we collect, move, store, and operationalize data from our web properties. Your role will involve designing and implementing scalable systems that enhance our data infrastructure, enabling deeper insights and better performance.

You will lead initiatives to improve our data collection processes, ensuring that we capture the right metrics to inform our marketing strategies. Collaborating with marketing engineers and platform teams, you will help create a seamless integration between our web properties and data analytics tools, driving efficiency and effectiveness in our operations.
