Pellet Mill Operator

Who you are

As a Pellet Mill Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining several pellet mills, ensuring optimal feed rates and monitoring pellet quality to meet company standards. You have a keen eye for detail and are committed to maintaining a clean and safe work environment. You understand the importance of following workplace and job safety procedures and are dedicated to producing high-quality pellets. You are comfortable analyzing equipment performance and making necessary adjustments to achieve desired throughput and quality results.

You have experience in conducting quality control testing and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions. You are familiar with performing inspections of equipment and maintaining it in good condition. You are capable of reviewing work order specifications to determine the materials and procedures needed for pellet production. You are proactive in adjusting machine components to regulate speed, pressure, and temperatures, ensuring the efficient flow of materials.

What you'll do

In this role, you will operate and maintain pellet mills, adjusting rolls and dies as necessary to ensure optimal production. You will monitor machine operations, observing indicator lights and gauges to detect malfunctions. You will perform and document required inspections of equipment, ensuring it remains in good working condition. You will analyze equipment performance and make necessary tooling and equipment changes to produce desired throughput and quality results. You will also coordinate maintenance on equipment as per job instructions and perform housekeeping to required standards.

You will maintain consistent production quality to required standards and follow all workplace and job safety procedures. Your attention to detail will be crucial in completing accurate reporting and ensuring that all operations run smoothly. You will work closely with your team to troubleshoot any issues that arise and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
