You have experience building strong relationships with journalists and influencers, particularly in Washington, DC. Your ability to partner cross-functionally with policy, legal, and product teams ensures that you are well-prepared for major company announcements and product launches. You are adept at handling inbound media requests and can architect reactive communications strategies that align with the organization's goals.

Desirable

Experience in the technology sector and familiarity with AI policy issues are highly desirable. You should be comfortable navigating the complexities of policy communications and have a track record of successful media engagement. A background in public relations or communications within a tech-focused organization would be beneficial.

What you'll do

In this role, you will develop and execute communications strategies that effectively convey Anthropic's mission and policy perspectives to key stakeholders. You will collaborate with the policy team to respond to policy developments that impact the AI industry, ensuring that the organization's voice is heard in critical discussions. Your responsibilities will include crafting press releases, preparing briefing materials, and coordinating media outreach efforts.

You will work closely with the Head of Policy Communications to align messaging across various channels and ensure consistency in communications. Your role will involve monitoring media coverage and public sentiment regarding AI policy issues, allowing you to provide strategic insights to the leadership team. You will also be responsible for organizing events and briefings that promote understanding of Anthropic's work and its implications for society.
