You are an experienced designer with a proven track record in early-stage companies — you've successfully built design systems from the ground up and understand the nuances of creating impactful user experiences. You have a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to design for both digital products and branding, demonstrating your versatility across various mediums. Your experience includes collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product management, to ensure that design decisions align with business goals and user needs. You thrive in environments where you can take ownership of your work and influence the direction of the product. You are comfortable with ambiguity and can navigate the challenges of a startup, where you will be the first designer and will need to establish processes and standards. You are passionate about using design to improve healthcare outcomes and are excited about the potential of AI in this space.

Desirable

Experience in healthcare or related fields is a plus, as is familiarity with user research methodologies. You have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of user-centered design principles. You are proficient in design tools such as Figma and have experience creating prototypes and conducting usability testing to validate your designs.

What you'll do

As the Founding Designer at HealthLeap, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how clinicians and hospitals interact with our AI platform. You will be responsible for designing the user interface and experience, ensuring that it is intuitive and meets the needs of healthcare professionals. You will collaborate with the engineering team to implement your designs and iterate based on user feedback. Additionally, you will develop the brand identity, creating visual assets that communicate our mission and values effectively. Your work will extend to creating marketing materials that resonate with our target audience and support our growth initiatives. You will have the opportunity to build and lead a design team as the company scales, mentoring junior designers and fostering a culture of creativity and innovation. You will also engage with stakeholders to gather insights and feedback, ensuring that our design solutions are aligned with user needs and business objectives.
