The Senior Software Engineer will design and build the backend service stack for the Copilot Agent Platform, focusing on scalable APIs and orchestration components that power AI experiences at global scale. This role involves deep backend engineering—optimizing distributed systems, ensuring low-latency performance, and enabling secure integrations. You’ll collaborate with science and engineering teams to deliver new capabilities, empower partners to build Copilots and Agents, and create seamless multimodal experiences across desktop and mobile for text, image, audio, and beyond.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
