Block is seeking an Implementation & Onboarding Project Manager to manage the final stages of the sales funnel and drive onboarding processes for US merchants. This role requires strong project management skills and the ability to cultivate cross-functional relationships.
You have a strong background in project management, ideally with experience in onboarding or implementation processes. You excel in managing the final stages of the sales funnel and have a knack for driving deals through to activation. Your deep product and industry knowledge allows you to guide sellers effectively through their onboarding journey, ensuring they are well-educated and set up to leverage the platform's potential. You are comfortable with customer-facing roles and can manage both remote and onsite interactions with merchants. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to cultivate strong relationships with cross-functional teams including Sales, Account Management, Customer Success, Engineering, and Product. You are proactive in anticipating and resolving obstacles, developing scalable strategies that drive consistent success.
Experience in the financial technology sector or with platforms similar to Square is a plus. Familiarity with sales processes and customer success strategies will enhance your ability to excel in this role.
In this role, you will manage the final stages of the sales funnel, working closely with US merchants to drive deals through to activation. You will be responsible for accelerating the onboarding process, ensuring that sellers are optimally scoped, educated, and trained. Your role will involve cultivating strong cross-functional relationships to align on the seller journey and remove barriers to deliver faster outcomes. You will also be instrumental in documenting and tracking feature requests to inform future product roadmaps. You will travel occasionally as part of the job, approximately 10% of the time, to meet with merchants and ensure a world-class onboarding experience. Your accountability to go-live timelines will be crucial in accelerating deal velocity wherever possible.
