Software Engineer, Simulation (Starship)

Who you are

You are a motivated and collaborative engineer with a strong background in software development, particularly in simulation software. You possess a keen interest in aerospace technologies, although prior aerospace experience is not required. Desirable

Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) testing is a plus, as is familiarity with simulation frameworks. What you'll do

As a Software Engineer on the Starship Simulation Software team, you will design and develop high-performance simulation models that are essential for testing and validating the Starship spacecraft and Super Heavy rocket. You will collaborate with the Avionics team to create and validate Hardware-in-the-Loop testbeds, ensuring that the software integrates seamlessly with hardware components.

You will engage with various engineering teams to build scalable test execution infrastructure that accelerates the development and deployment of safe and reliable software for Starship. Your role will involve writing efficient code, conducting simulations, and analyzing results to improve system performance.

You will also participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall software architecture, ensuring that best practices are followed. Your contributions will directly impact the success of SpaceX's mission to enable human life on Mars, making your work both challenging and rewarding.
