Attentive is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Infrastructure team to build and operate core compute and networking infrastructure. You'll work with AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform to support a high-performance platform. This role requires significant experience in software engineering.
You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building and maintaining infrastructure systems that support high-scale applications. Your background includes working with cloud-native technologies and a deep understanding of microservices architecture. You are proficient in AWS and have hands-on experience with Kubernetes, which is essential for managing containerized applications effectively. You understand the importance of observability and have implemented monitoring solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.
You are familiar with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, particularly using Terraform, to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources. Your experience with networking concepts and tools like Cloudflare enables you to optimize performance and security for applications. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions that meet business needs.
Experience with additional cloud platforms or services is a plus, as is familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. You are comfortable with scripting and automation, which helps streamline operations and improve efficiency. A background in performance tuning and optimization of distributed systems will set you apart.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the core infrastructure that supports Attentive's marketing platform. You will collaborate with other engineers to ensure that the platform can handle billions of events daily, providing a resilient and cost-effective solution. Your role will involve implementing best practices for cloud architecture and ensuring that the infrastructure is scalable and secure.
You will work closely with product teams to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions. This includes optimizing existing systems and developing new features that enhance the platform's capabilities. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles. You will participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices within the team.
