Overview

Google is seeking an Aircraft Captain and Project Manager to oversee dynamic aircraft operations globally. You'll manage aviation projects and lead crew members while ensuring safety and compliance. This role requires an FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and significant flight experience.

Job Description

Who you are

You hold an FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (ATP) and have accumulated a minimum of 3,000 hours of flight time, including at least 1,000 hours in jet aircraft. Your experience includes international operations, particularly with Gulfstream models such as the G550 or G650. You possess a valid FAA First Class Medical and an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit. You are able to report to the Bay Area within 48 hours of assignments and hold a valid U.S. driver’s license. You have a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience as Pilot in Command for a global, multi-disciplined company or related military experience. Your background includes aviation-related project management in programs such as Safety Management Systems (SMS), Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA), Security, or International Operations. You are known for your excellent situational awareness, professionalism, communication, and leadership skills, thriving under pressure.

What you'll do

As an Aircraft Captain and Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing dynamic aircraft operations around the globe. You will operate aircraft safely and consistently according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines. Your role will require you to engage with and actively participate in risk management and security programs to reduce and mitigate risks. You will lead and participate in aviation projects of varying size, scope, and complexity that deliver significant impact to the team and our users. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain, grow, and evolve our Aviation Program, bringing creative and non-standard solutions to the table. Your ability to think critically and adapt to shifting priorities will be essential as you navigate the complexities of global aviation operations. You will also be responsible for fostering teamwork and crew resource management (CRM) skills among fellow crew members, ensuring that all operations meet the demands of our global business.
