SpaceX is seeking a Structures Technician for the Falcon 9 project to modify, repair, assemble, and install rocket and spacecraft components. You'll work with tools and techniques essential for aerospace manufacturing. This role requires hands-on experience with mechanical systems and precision assembly.
You have a strong background in mechanical assembly and aerospace manufacturing, with hands-on experience in modifying and repairing complex structures. Your familiarity with tools such as rivet guns, drill motors, and various fasteners allows you to execute tasks with precision and efficiency. You understand the importance of following detailed drawings and tooling instructions to ensure the integrity of rocket components. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality are evident in your work, as you consistently strive for excellence in every project.
You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where collaboration and communication are key. You thrive in team settings and are eager to share your knowledge with others, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. As a Structures Technician at SpaceX, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and installation of rocket and spacecraft components. You will be responsible for selecting the appropriate drill bits and countersinking tools for pilot and full-size holes, ensuring that all holes are drilled to the correct size and depth. Your attention to detail will be essential as you deburr holes and prepare surfaces for sealing or assembly. You will also load and unload ovens for bonding detail parts to assemblies, demonstrating your ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineers and other technicians to ensure that all components meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Your ability to follow detailed instructions and work as part of a team will be critical to the success of the Falcon 9 project.
