Canonical is seeking a Usability Engineer for their Design Team to enhance user experience through innovative research and insights. This role requires expertise in user data analysis and collaboration across teams.
You have a strong background in usability engineering and user experience research, with a focus on integrating user insights into product development. Your experience includes collecting and synthesizing user data from various sources, including A/B tests and usability studies, to inform design decisions. You are skilled in advocating for user needs and fostering a collaborative research culture within teams. You understand the importance of organizational learning and change in enhancing user experience across products.
You are comfortable working in a remote environment and have experience collaborating with distributed teams. Your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including design and engineering, allows you to drive user-centered design processes. You are passionate about innovation in user research methodologies and are eager to contribute to the evolution of the User Science discipline at Canonical.
Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods is a plus, as is familiarity with tools for user testing and data analysis. A background in open-source software or familiarity with the Ubuntu platform would be advantageous. You are open to learning new frameworks and standards that can enhance user research practices.
As a Usability Engineer at Canonical, you will be responsible for developing user insights that inform product design and development.
