What you'll do

In this role, you will be part of the Security team at Verkada, where you will contribute to building scalable distributed systems capable of handling high traffic from hundreds of thousands of devices deployed globally. You will work closely with your teammates to develop and enhance Verkada’s integrated security platform, ensuring that it meets the needs of over 30,000 organizations worldwide. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with engineers to design and implement features that improve the functionality and security of our systems.

You will gain hands-on experience with high concurrency key-value storage systems, utilizing Redis and DynamoDB to manage data efficiently. Additionally, you will work with PostgreSQL relational databases to ensure data integrity and performance. Your role will also involve utilizing logging and message passing technologies like Kafka and SQS to facilitate communication between services and improve system reliability.

As part of your development process, you will deploy services using Terraform and Kubernetes, gaining valuable experience in infrastructure as code and container orchestration. You will be encouraged to share your ideas and contribute to the team’s success, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
