HelloFresh is seeking a Sous Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure food quality standards. This role requires experience in training and developing kitchen staff while maintaining safety and health codes.
You are an experienced Sous Chef with a strong background in kitchen operations and management. You have a proven ability to train and develop a large group of employees, ensuring that all food prepared meets the highest quality standards. You are results-driven and capable of multitasking, tracking recipe development while maintaining productivity in a busy kitchen environment. Your problem-solving skills allow you to address challenges effectively, and you communicate with employees with tact and diplomacy. You are comfortable working in varying temperatures and are computer literate, able to input information into kitchen management systems.
You have experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment and are familiar with state and federal health and safety codes. Your ability to balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale is key to achieving positive results in all areas of kitchen operations. You are proactive in planning energy conservation procedures and maintaining the security and upkeep of kitchen equipment and supplies.
As a Sous Chef at HelloFresh, you will oversee the daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all food prepared meets the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for training, coaching, and developing hourly kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. You will maintain security and upkeep of the kitchen, including managing food and supply inventories. Your role will involve planning energy conservation procedures and ensuring compliance with state and federal health and safety codes. You will balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas of the kitchen. Additionally, you will manage departmental performance measures and provide regular progress reports to the Chef de Cuisine during shifts. You will also perform accident investigations and notify management as appropriate, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
