DoorDash is seeking a Senior Operations Associate to lead a team focused on autonomous delivery technology. You'll manage operations and communicate with stakeholders to ensure smooth execution. This role requires 4+ years of experience in operations, preferably in the autonomous industry.
You have over 4 years of experience in operations, ideally within the autonomous industry, and are excited about managing a team that is at the forefront of delivery technology. You possess strong communication skills, allowing you to effectively convey status updates and escalate issues as necessary. Your expertise in autonomous technology enables you to track changes and maintain a balance between business needs, costs, and safety. You thrive in a hands-on role, managing a PM shift and ensuring that your team meets its operational goals.
Experience in robotics or a strong interest in applying robotics solutions to real-world problems is a plus. You are adept at problem-solving and can maintain a positive attitude even when faced with challenges. Your ability to push metrics and contribute personally to the team's success is highly valued.
In this role, you will manage a component of the operations team, leading a shift that focuses on supporting autonomous testing. You will be responsible for communicating with key stakeholders, providing timely updates, and identifying any issues that arise in the field. Your role will also involve serving as an escalation path for incidents, ensuring that you are present onsite when necessary to address severe issues. You will work closely with the Associate Operations Manager or Operations Manager to align your team's efforts with the broader goals of DoorDash Labs.
You will be expected to maintain an “and not either or” attitude, balancing the needs of the business with safety and cost considerations. As an expert in autonomous technology, you will help track and convey changes, ensuring that your team is well-informed and prepared to adapt to new developments. Your leadership will be crucial in pushing metrics and achieving operational excellence.
This position is 100% onsite at our Operations Hub in Mesa, AZ, with some duties extending to Chandler and Tempe, AZ. You will be part of a team that is dedicated to innovating in the delivery space, contributing to a service that is loved by millions.
