Job Description

About the Company

Gemini is a global crypto and Web3 platform founded by Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss in 2014, offering a wide range of simple, reliable, and secure crypto products and services to individuals and institutions in over 70 countries. Our mission is to unlock the next era of financial, creative, and personal freedom by providing trusted access to the decentralized future. We envision a world where crypto reshapes the global financial system, internet, and money to create greater choice, independence, and opportunity for all — bridging traditional finance with the emerging cryptoeconomy in a way that is more open, fair, and secure. As a publicly traded company, Gemini is poised to accelerate this vision with greater scale, reach, and impact.

The Department: Institutional Sales

In Business Development we build relationships, are on the front lines of all critical customer service issues, and help manage the customer lifecycle through pivotal stages in their Gemini journey. Whether it’s identifying new key Web3 clients  or servicing a retail customer’s needs, our goal is the same: deliver for our customers no matter what.

The Role: Senior Associate, Due Diligence & Special Projects

The Senior Associate, Due Diligence & Special Projects will serve as the centralized point of contact for all institutional due diligence and request-for-proposal processes. This role is critical to supporting the Institutional business by delivering high-quality, accurate, and commercially competitive responses that help win and retain mandates.

In addition to due diligence ownership, this role will contribute to cross-functional special projects spanning product, client services, and strategy, creating leverage and scalability for the Institutional team.

This role is required to be in person twice a week at our New York City, NY office.

Responsibilities:

  • Due Diligence & RFP Management
    • Own and manage responses to all DDQs, RFQs, RFPs, and related institutional due diligence requests particularly across custody, trading infrastructure, information security, and compliance.
    • Proven ability to coordinate complex input across multiple functions and synthesize that into cohesive, client-facing materials.
    • Translate complex technical, legal, and operational inputs into clear, compelling, and commercially competitive responses.
    • Maintain and continuously improve a due diligence knowledge base to drive efficiency, consistency, and accuracy.
    • Familiarity with regulatory standards relevant to crypto, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, NYDFS, SEC custody rules, and AML/KYC frameworks.
    • Design and install a scalable, searchable DDQ/RFI knowledge base and tooling stack, such as Loopio, RFP360, or equivalent — with cross-team applicability across Gemini.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Build strong working relationships across teams to ensure timely, accurate, and aligned responses.
    • Act as the centralized coordinator, partnering with cross-functional teams including Institutional, Trading, Compliance, Legal, Product, Engineering, and Security.
    • Proactively identify gaps, risks, or areas for improvement in responses and processes.
  • Special Projects
    • Support ad hoc and longer-term special projects as capacity allows, with a focus on:
      • Product enablement
      • Client services improvements
      • Institutional strategy and process optimization
    • Help create leverage for the Institutional team through scalable processes, documentation, and tools.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a relevant role (e.g., due diligence, institutional sales support, RFP/DDQ management, client solutions, strategy, or related functions).
  • Strong understanding of institutional clients and complex, regulated environments (financial services, crypto, fintech, or adjacent industries preferred).
  • Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
  • Self-starter with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude and high attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting institutional sales or client-facing teams.
  • Familiarity with compliance, legal, or security concepts in regulated financial products.
  • Experience improving or scaling DDQ/RFP processes or systems.
