Adyen is seeking a Head of Customer Due Diligence & KYC to lead a team across North America and LATAM. You'll oversee compliance processes and collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance the CDD function. This role requires strategic leadership and experience in compliance management.
You are a strategic leader with extensive experience in customer due diligence and KYC processes, ideally within the financial technology sector. You have a proven track record of managing teams and driving change management initiatives, empowering your team members to excel in their roles. Your ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including compliance, commercial, product, and legal teams, sets you apart as a leader who can navigate complex regulatory environments. You thrive in dynamic settings and are excited about shaping the future of compliance in the Americas.
Experience in the payments industry or with financial products is a plus, as is familiarity with regulatory frameworks across North America and LATAM. You possess strong analytical skills and a keen understanding of risk management principles, enabling you to make informed decisions that align with business objectives. Your leadership style is inclusive, fostering a culture of growth and development within your team.
In this role, you will lead and coach a high-performing CDD team, consisting of five people managers and approximately 45 team members. You will be responsible for overseeing the onboarding process and ongoing reviews, ensuring that Adyen delivers a risk-aware and efficient experience for its clients. Your strategic vision will guide the evolution of the CDD function across the region, driving the implementation of scalable processes that support Adyen's growth.
You will collaborate closely with various internal stakeholders, including compliance, commercial, product, and legal teams, to ensure that all operations align with regulatory requirements and best practices. Additionally, you will engage with external stakeholders, such as merchants and regulators, to maintain strong relationships and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
