Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Production Lead to join our R&D machine shop, which specializes in CNC milling, sheet metal forming, and additive manufacturing (3D printing) operations. This role is critical in supporting our diverse manufacturing capabilities and prototype development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for CNC machine setup, program validation, and operational troubleshooting while ensuring optimal production efficiency and quality standards. You will work in a dynamic R&D environment where flexibility and technical expertise across multiple manufacturing processes is essential. This position requires expertise in modern manufacturing technologies and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing project requirements.

Key job responsibilities
- Set up and configure CNC machines for various manufacturing operations
- Validate and run new CNC programs, making necessary adjustments
- Troubleshoot mechanical, programming, and operational issues
- Utilize MES (Manufacturing Execution System) to track and document machine operations
- Collaborate with Quality department on process improvements and product quality initiatives
- Maintain detailed documentation of setup procedures and program modifications
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and manufacturing standards- Proven expert in CNC machine setup and operation
- Strong understanding of G-code programming and machining principles
- Experience with MES systems and digital production tracking
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and quality focus
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration- Experience working in an ISO certified operation
- Strong verbal and written communications
- Ability to innovate processes and procedures

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $61,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $100,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
