As an Engineering Manager or Senior Engineering Manager you will be an engineering leader who shapes what we do and will set the tone for how we do it.

You will be in charge of a team of engineers, working to build out the next generation of systems to power operations of our manual medical chart retrieval. Your north star will be increasing the efficiency and yield of these processes, partnering closely with Operations and Product. We are currently hiring managers for the following teams:

• Healthsource: You’ll take ownership of the central logistics software used to request and deliver millions of medical records. You’ll hire veteran engineers to work alongside the existing team as you learn the intricacies of healthcare technology and modernize the applications.
• Enterprise Engineering: You’ll lead and grow the team that manages, optimizes, and safeguards the critical enterprise systems, including ERP, CRM, HRIS, BI, and financial platforms that drive the company's success.
• Payer, Retrieval Tooling and Automation: You’ll own a team of high-performing engineers building the next generation of systems that power a large part of Datavant’s network. This team is building cutting-edge, highly available technology in close partnership with product and ops stakeholders to support a $700MM business line that connects tens of millions of data requests each year. This leader will require strong partnerships across the business to build new and impactful products that drive impactful outcomes for our customers.  The ideal candidate is comfortable building new products and systems for internal and external customers and scaling systems to support the growth of Engineering systems to highly available and scaled products.
•  Life Sciences, Linkage, Portal: You’ll be owning the web platform underpinning the entire Lifescience, Ecosystems, and Public Sector business vertical. This spans from business specific use cases supporting for example Trials, to web platform technical aspects such as our frontend component library and AuthN/Z.
• Life Sciences, Linkage, Nimbus/Assess: You’ll be owning the team responsible for our native integration with AWS CleanRoom and the overall domain of Data Matchmaking, ranging from customer and data discovery, to assessing data overlaps, to post-contract identity resolution.

In this role you will:

• Build, grow, and lead a world-class team of engineers 
• Create the technical vision for Datavant’s suite of products.
• Partner with product and design to ship value to customers
• Be a critical leader of the payer products and business, delivering rapid revenue and customer growth by directing how customer use cases, capabilities, positioning, and more come together to create a winning product.
• Be the champion & driver of product innovation processes & initiatives.
• Be hands-on by leading high impact efforts.
• Be a strong communicator, coach, and mentor.

What You Bring to the Table:

• You have 6+ years of engineering experience including multiple years in leadership, managing managers, building teams from scratch and building large enterprise software.

The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job. The estimated salary range for this role is  $180,000 - $280,000.
