Main Purpose of the Role
Welocalize is looking for a Russian native speaker to perform translations from English into Russian from Russia, using various translation tools for our projects to translate various types of content, including marketing, help and UI.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Learning the tools associated with translation work;
- Precisely following the established translation process, e.g. always raising queries when there is a need to;
- Learning the style guide and overall client’s requirements, e.g. stylistic preferences;
- Keeping track of personal error statistics and work on the weak spots;
- Taking part in the internal trainings and the ones organized by the client;
- Participating in the error arbitration process;
- Meeting the productivity KPIs;
- Taking part in the internal quality meetings and the quality calls organized by the client for the whole team;
- Constantly analyzing own gaps and thinking of what assistance the senior members and the client can provide to help address those.
Qualification and required skills
- University degree in Linguistics/Translation OR;
- University degree in other fields AND relevant translation experience;
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken, in a wide range of registers);
- Native fluency in Russian.
