Discord is seeking a Director, People Business Partner to drive the people strategy for their Engineering, Product, Analytics, and Design teams. This role requires deep expertise in aligning talent strategy with business goals and mentoring a high-performing team.
You have extensive experience in people operations, particularly in technical organizations, and a proven track record of aligning talent strategies with business objectives. Your expertise in organizational design, succession planning, and performance management enables you to navigate complex challenges effectively. You are a strategic thought partner, capable of collaborating with executives to drive engagement and culture within the organization. You have a strong background in mentoring and developing teams, ensuring that HR support is scalable and effective. You understand the nuances of pre-IPO companies transitioning to enterprise maturity and can guide organizations through this critical phase. You are passionate about fostering a high-performing culture and are committed to the success of both individuals and the organization as a whole.
In this role, you will own and drive the people strategy for Discord's Engineering, Product, Analytics, and Design teams. You will partner closely with the CTO and other executives to align talent strategies with business goals, addressing complex challenges through a people lens. You will lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing People Partner team, ensuring strong partnerships and scalable HR support. Your responsibilities will include strategic planning, organizational design, retention strategies, and enhancing culture and engagement within the teams. You will leverage your deep business context to provide insights and solutions that drive organizational effectiveness. You will also be responsible for performance management and development initiatives that support the growth of the organization and its employees.
