Overview

Plaid is hiring a Manager of Sales Development to lead a team focused on generating sales pipeline and developing future sales talent. You'll work closely with Marketing and Sales leadership to achieve business targets. This role requires strong leadership and sales management experience.

You have a proven track record in sales development and team management, with experience overseeing a team of sales representatives to meet and exceed quotas. You understand the importance of generating quality sales pipelines and have a strategic mindset to drive performance. Your ability to recruit, onboard, and coach sales talent is exceptional, and you thrive in a collaborative environment where you partner with cross-functional leaders to achieve business goals. You stay updated on sales development best practices and are eager to implement initiatives that enhance team performance and effectiveness.

What you'll do

As the Manager of Sales Development at Plaid, you will oversee a team of 3-8 new business representatives, guiding them to hit their sales quotas while fostering a high-performance culture. You will collaborate closely with Marketing and Sales leadership to ensure that the sales pipeline is robust and aligned with business needs. Your responsibilities will include creating actionable plans, analyzing performance drivers, and executing strategies to meet targets. You will lead initiatives to enhance Plaid's sales development function, ensuring that your team is equipped with the best practices and tools to succeed. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying strong sales talent, onboarding new hires, and coaching them to develop professionally, ensuring that your team is not only meeting quotas but also growing in their careers.
