Databricks is seeking a Senior Account Executive in the Oil & Gas sector to drive enterprise sales and close new accounts. You'll leverage your expertise in selling innovation and managing complex sales cycles. This role requires experience in enterprise sales and a strong understanding of customer needs.
You are an experienced enterprise sales professional with a proven track record in selling to large accounts, particularly in the Oil, Gas, Energy, and Utilities sectors. You understand how to effectively communicate the value of innovative solutions to customers and system integrators, guiding deals forward to compress decision cycles. You thrive on identifying new opportunities and are adept at closing both new and existing accounts while ensuring customer satisfaction.
With a strong background in enterprise sales, you have previously worked in fast-paced environments and are comfortable engaging with C-level executives, IT leaders, and program managers. You are skilled in using a solution-based approach to selling, which allows you to create value for customers and promote Databricks' enterprise cloud data platform powered by Apache Spark. You are detail-oriented and capable of tracking customer interactions and forecasting in Salesforce, ensuring that all customer details are meticulously documented.
You are driven by results and have a history of exceeding activity, pipeline, and revenue targets. Your ability to prioritize opportunities and apply appropriate resources has led to your success in previous roles. You are also committed to maintaining 100% satisfaction among all customers, understanding that long-term relationships are key to sustained success.
Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is a plus, as is familiarity with cloud data platforms and enterprise software solutions. You are comfortable working in a remote environment and have the self-discipline to manage your time effectively while collaborating with a distributed team.
In your role as a Senior Account Executive at Databricks, you will present a comprehensive territory plan within your first 90 days, outlining your strategy for engaging with key accounts. You will meet regularly with CIOs, IT executives, and other important partners to understand their needs and how Databricks can provide solutions that drive innovation and efficiency.
Your responsibilities will include closing both new and existing accounts, identifying quick wins while managing longer, complex sales cycles. You will leverage your expertise to exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue targets, ensuring that you are consistently meeting and surpassing your goals.
You will track all customer details, including use cases, purchase time frames, and next steps, in Salesforce, allowing for accurate forecasting and strategic planning. Your solution-based approach to selling will enable you to create significant value for customers, promoting Databricks' offerings effectively.
You will collaborate closely with the Regional Director of Enterprise Sales and other team members to build a plan for success both internally and externally. Your role will involve not only closing deals but also ensuring that customers are satisfied and that their needs are met throughout the sales process.
