Job Description

Who you are

You have a proven track record in sales management, particularly in complex environments such as aerospace or defense. Your experience includes leading capture and proposal activities, where you've successfully shaped requirements and submitted compliant proposals. You excel in building relationships with stakeholders and have a deep understanding of the space industry, including commercial cargo and lunar logistics. Your negotiation skills are top-notch, allowing you to drive customer interactions effectively and close deals successfully. You are adept at developing strategic plans that align with institutional priorities and have a knack for integrating partner inputs into cohesive proposals. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy representing your company at industry events and forums.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the capture and proposal activities for The Exploration Company's modular and reusable space orbital vehicle, Nyx. You will develop a practical capture plan with a clear win strategy, ensuring alignment with the priorities of space and defense institutions. Your responsibilities will include managing the end-to-end writing of bids, where you will define proposal architecture, draft core sections, and ensure consistency in messaging. You will engage with customers through negotiations, preparing negotiation packages and supporting closure activities. Additionally, you will build and maintain a high-quality customer map and opportunity pipeline, utilizing business intelligence and continuous stakeholder engagement. Representing the company at industry days, conferences, and institutional events will also be a key part of your role, where you will develop relationships and promote The Exploration Company's offerings.
