Who you are

As a Pellet Mill Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining several pellet mills, ensuring optimal feed rates and monitoring pellet quality to meet company standards. You have a keen eye for detail and are committed to maintaining a clean and safe work environment. You understand the importance of quality control and are willing to assist in conducting QC testing and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions. Your ability to analyze equipment performance and make necessary adjustments will be crucial in producing the desired throughput and quality results.

You are familiar with reviewing work order specifications or instructions to determine materials, ingredients, and procedures necessary for producing pellets. You have the skills to adjust machine components to regulate speed, pressure, and temperatures, ensuring that the production process runs smoothly. Your experience in monitoring machine operations and observing indicator lights and gauges will help you detect malfunctions early, allowing for timely interventions.

What you'll do

In this role, you will perform and document required inspections of equipment, maintaining it in good condition to ensure consistent production quality. You will be responsible for performing and coordinating maintenance on equipment as per job instructions, ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently. You will also be tasked with performing housekeeping duties to meet required standards, contributing to a safe and organized work environment.

Your role will involve adjusting machine components to regulate the flow of materials and ingredients, which is essential for maintaining production efficiency. You will monitor machine operations closely, using your knowledge of thermometers, voltage meters, and timers to detect any issues that may arise. Following all workplace and job safety procedures will be a priority, as you understand the importance of safety in the manufacturing process.
