Tanium is seeking a Director of Strategic Accounts for the Public Sector to drive enterprise software sales and manage complex sales cycles. You'll engage with C-suite executives and lead sales efforts in Tokyo. This role requires significant experience in enterprise software sales.
You have significant enterprise software sales experience, generating and closing large and complex software transactions with major customers in the region. You are comfortable engaging with C-level executives, including CIOs and CISOs, and can articulate the value of technology solutions tailored to customer needs. You thrive in a team-oriented environment, understanding that selling is a collaborative effort that requires managing and utilizing virtual resources effectively. You have a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and are adept at nurturing relationships within your assigned territory.
You possess strong communication skills, allowing you to present effectively to diverse audiences, from technical teams to executive leadership. You are detail-oriented, maintaining excellent hygiene in sales forecasting and pipeline management. You are also comfortable conducting webinars and in-person presentations to generate qualified leads, showcasing your ability to engage potential customers.
Experience in the public sector is a plus, as is familiarity with cybersecurity solutions. You are proactive in seeking opportunities to grow and succeed, both for yourself and your team. You understand the importance of community involvement and are committed to giving back through volunteer initiatives.
As the Director of Strategic Accounts, you will be responsible for generating opportunities to position the Tanium platform within your assigned territory and accounts. You will articulate the value of the Tanium platform to decision-makers and expertly manage the complex sales cycle. Your role will involve nurturing and developing relationships within your territory, presenting the value of the Tanium platform to C-suite executives. You will collaborate with the Partner and Marketing teams to define and support prospecting and sales efforts, ensuring a healthy pipeline management process.
You will generate appropriate sales development activity to maintain a robust pipeline and accurately forecast sales, ensuring excellent hygiene in your Salesforce (SFDC) records. Conducting online webinars or in-person presentations will be part of your responsibilities to generate qualified leads. You will also travel as needed to meet with clients and prospects, further strengthening your relationships and understanding of their needs.
