SpaceX is hiring a Senior Supply Chain Planner to manage and improve supply chain processes critical to the Starship mission. You'll work closely with engineering and procurement teams to optimize inventory and ensure a healthy flow of components. This role requires experience in supply chain management and strategic planning.
You have a strong background in supply chain management, with a focus on procurement, planning, and fulfillment. Your experience includes developing strategies for inventory management and optimizing warehouse space. You are proactive in identifying areas for improvement and have a track record of implementing new processes that enhance efficiency. You understand the importance of collaboration with engineering teams to ensure that critical components are available when needed. Your analytical skills allow you to assess demand and supply plans effectively, ensuring that the supply chain operates smoothly.
Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industry is a plus, as is familiarity with multi-level assemblies and bill of materials (BOMs). You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities. A background in data analysis or experience with supply chain software tools would be beneficial.
In this role, you will manage the supply chain processes that support SpaceX's ambitious goals for the Starship program. You will develop and maintain accurate configurations of multi-level assemblies, ensuring that all components are accounted for and properly managed. Your responsibilities will include creating demand and supply plans that align with production schedules and identifying appropriate stock levels based on part criticality and lead times. You will work closely with engineering teams to identify items that require critical spares and develop retention policies to minimize stagnant inventory. Continuous improvement will be a key focus, as you will be expected to demonstrate initiative in developing new methods to enhance the supply chain's effectiveness.
