Opendoor is seeking an IT Platform Engineer to modernize their infrastructure and enhance automation capabilities. You'll work with technologies like PowerShell, Terraform, and Azure to support a seamless user experience. This role requires 5+ years of experience in software engineering and IT automation.
You have over 5 years of experience in software engineering, IT automation, and platform management, particularly with Mac and Windows systems. Your expertise in Windows Active Directory and familiarity with both Mac and Windows environments allows you to navigate complex IT infrastructures effectively. You are passionate about automation and enabling teams to work more efficiently through technology. Your background in scripting languages, particularly PowerShell and Mac OS shell scripting, equips you to tackle various automation challenges. You are also well-versed in cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS, which enhances your ability to manage and optimize IT resources. You understand the importance of security in IT operations and are committed to maintaining secure environments while implementing new technologies.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines is a plus, as it aligns with your goal of modernizing IT infrastructure. Familiarity with endpoint management tools like Jamf and Crowdstrike will further enhance your contributions to the team. You are eager to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Security, IT, and Engineering, to maximize the adoption of AI and improve engineering velocity.
In this role, you will modernize the Windows infrastructure that hosts the heavily customized ResWare platform, which is essential for title and escrow software. You will lead the migration of Windows users to Mac OS while ensuring the security of the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). Your responsibilities will include utilizing Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines to streamline endpoint management and launch capabilities such as Zero-touch deployment (ZDM) and Declarative Device Management (DDM). You will collaborate closely with various teams to enhance the overall efficiency and security of IT operations. Your work will directly contribute to Opendoor's mission of simplifying the home buying and selling process through innovative technology.
