Software Engineer, Machine Learning Infrastructure

Who you are

You have a strong background in machine learning and infrastructure, with experience in building and shipping production AI agents. You are familiar with LLMs and LLM frameworks, and you have a solid understanding of training and deploying machine learning models to solve critical business problems. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with machine learning engineers, data scientists, and product engineering teams to drive business outcomes. You possess a sense of pragmatism, knowing when to aim for the ideal solution and when to adjust course based on project needs.

Desirable

Experience with large-scale data processing and familiarity with cloud platforms is a plus. You have a passion for AI and machine learning, and you are eager to contribute to the development of innovative solutions that enhance the ML lifecycle.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design and build the next generation of ML infrastructure services that significantly improve ML development velocity and MLOps maturity across the company. You will work on data exploration, feature generation, experimentation, training, deploying, and serving ML models. Your contributions will enable seamless end-to-end experiences in building solutions across data, analytics, and AI/ML platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the infrastructure meets the needs of various stakeholders and supports the rapid growth of machine learning initiatives at Stripe.

You will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement in existing systems and processes, implementing best practices in ML development, and ensuring that the infrastructure is scalable and reliable. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of machine learning projects, helping to accelerate the adoption of AI/ML across the organization.
