Google is seeking a Senior Database Sales Specialist to promote database solutions and data management software. You'll work closely with C-level executives and cross-functional teams to drive customer success. This role requires 10 years of experience in sales and database technologies.
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 10 years of experience in promoting database solutions or data management software. Your background includes planning, pitching, and executing territory business strategies, and you have experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management. You are skilled in managing agreements or partnerships and have a proven track record of exceeding business goals in a sales role.
Your experience includes collaborating with internal and external teams, including account teams, technical leads, procurement, and legal, to inventory existing software estates and build cases for transformation with implementation plans. You have a strong understanding of database technologies and products, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB, as well as deployment options in the cloud. You thrive in an overlay sales role and are dedicated to ensuring customer success, adoption, and expansion.
You have experience supporting executive relationships and developing new territories/accounts. Your ability to work with cross-functional teams to develop go-to-market strategies and generate and progress pipeline is a key asset. You understand the importance of providing excellent prospect and customer experiences and are adept at collaborating with partner teams to activate database-specific partners.
In this role, you will be responsible for promoting Google Cloud's database solutions and data management software to potential clients. You will work closely with C-level executives to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that drive customer success. Your role will involve planning and executing territory business strategies, ensuring that you meet and exceed sales targets.
You will collaborate with various teams, including sales representatives, customer engineering, marketing, and customer success, to develop effective go-to-market strategies. Your ability to understand customer needs and provide excellent experiences will be crucial in generating and progressing the sales pipeline. You will also work with partner teams to activate database-specific partners, ensuring that sales teams and customers have access to the necessary resources.
