Reflection is seeking a Government Relations Lead to build and maintain relationships with federal agencies and policymakers. You'll shape policy outcomes relevant to AI and national security. This role requires significant experience in government relations.
You have extensive experience in government relations, ideally with a focus on technology and national security — you've successfully navigated complex political landscapes and built trusted relationships with key stakeholders. Your ability to articulate policy positions with clarity and credibility sets you apart as a leader in this field.
You understand the dynamics of AI governance and its implications for national competitiveness and security — your insights into the intersection of technology and policy enable you to translate complex issues into strategic advantages for your organization. You thrive in high-stakes environments and are adept at managing multiple priorities while maintaining a clear focus on your objectives.
Your communication skills are exceptional — you can engage effectively with senior-level officials and articulate the company's vision and policy positions in a compelling manner. You are a strategic thinker who can anticipate challenges and opportunities in the evolving landscape of AI and technology policy.
You are passionate about the role of technology in shaping the future — you stay informed about trends in AI, energy, and infrastructure, and you are committed to advocating for policies that foster innovation and economic growth. You believe in the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors to achieve shared goals.
Experience working directly with federal agencies or on Capitol Hill would be a significant advantage — you have a network of contacts that can facilitate engagement and collaboration. Familiarity with the regulatory landscape surrounding AI and technology is also beneficial, as is a background in strategic communications or public affairs.
In this role, you will own the federal strategy and relationships for Reflection — you will build and maintain senior-level relationships across Congress, the Administration, and key federal agencies relevant to AI, national security, energy, and infrastructure. Your ability to map and actively manage engagement with committees of jurisdiction and agency leadership will be crucial to your success.
You will serve as Reflection’s primary representative in Washington, articulating the company’s policy positions with credibility and precision — your role will involve shaping policy outcomes that align with the company’s mission and strategic objectives. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure that our policy strategies are informed by the latest developments in technology and governance.
You will cultivate deep, trusted relationships across government agencies — your efforts will help to position Reflection as a thought leader in the AI space, influencing the conversation around technology policy and its implications for national security and economic growth. You will also be responsible for developing and executing advocacy strategies that promote the company’s interests and objectives.
Reflection offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment where you can make a meaningful impact — you will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of AI researchers and industry leaders who are dedicated to building open superintelligence. We provide comprehensive benefits, including fully paid parental leave and financial support for family planning, to ensure that our employees feel valued and supported.
We believe in fostering a culture of connection and collaboration — daily lunches and team celebrations are part of our commitment to building strong relationships within our team. You will also have access to relocation support and paid time off when you need it, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Join us at Reflection and be part of a mission-driven organization that is shaping the future of AI and technology policy — your contributions will play a vital role in advancing our goals and making a positive impact on society.
