Apple is seeking a Core OS Systems Software Engineer to work on Process Management and Device Attestation. You'll be responsible for developing system services and frameworks that enhance the Apple experience. This role requires a strong understanding of operating systems and experience in software development.
You have a strong understanding of operating system fundamentals and experience working throughout the stack — you enjoy solving big-picture problems and setting ambitious goals. With a passion for how each line of code affects the overall system, you thrive in cross-disciplinary collaboration to develop groundbreaking technologies like iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS. You are dedicated to building fully integrated operating systems that combine hardware, software, and apps into a seamless Apple experience. You have experience in software development, including new feature design, implementation, maintenance, and bug fixing of released code. You are skilled in developing and improving unit tests and performance tests, and you are adept at diagnosing and resolving customer-reported issues.
As a Core OS Systems Software Engineer, you will work on the Process Management and Device Attestation team, focusing on system services that orchestrate the lifecycle of running applications and system services. You will develop and maintain daemons and frameworks that support functionality throughout the operating system. Your role will involve participating in all stages of software development, from initial design to implementation and ongoing maintenance. You will collaborate closely with other engineers to ensure the OS is inseparable from each device's identity, contributing to the excellence that Apple devices are known for. You will also be responsible for enhancing the performance and reliability of the system services you develop, ensuring they meet the high standards expected by Apple users.
