SpaceX is hiring a Senior Machine Maintenance Technician (CNC) to provide mechanical, electrical, and control support for CNC machinery. You'll be responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex CNC systems in Hawthorne, CA.
You have extensive experience in machine maintenance, particularly with CNC machinery, and possess a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Your background includes hands-on work with various machine configurations, including 5-axis milling and mill-turn applications, which has equipped you with the skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues efficiently.
You are adept at performing preventative maintenance and repairs on a wide range of CNC machines, ensuring they operate at peak performance. Your familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and servomotors allows you to diagnose and fix control system failures effectively. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are skilled at critical thinking, enabling you to develop quick resolutions to unique equipment challenges.
Your experience includes working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, where you have successfully repaired actuators, valves, pumps, and filters. You understand the intricacies of mechanical systems, including ball screws and linear guides, and can address issues that arise in these areas. You are committed to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment, adhering to best practices in machine maintenance.
Experience with advanced CNC technologies and a background in aerospace or manufacturing environments would be advantageous. Familiarity with industry standards and safety protocols is also a plus, as is the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
As a Senior Machine Maintenance Technician at SpaceX, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance.
