Overview

SpaceX is hiring an Electronics Technician to support propulsion and structural systems tests. You'll provide technical expertise in instrumentation and data acquisition hardware. This role requires experience with complex technical assignments and troubleshooting.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong foundation in electronics and instrumentation, with experience in performing complex technical assignments involving data acquisition and processing systems. You are skilled in connecting and verifying pressure transducers, thermocouples, and other sensors, ensuring that all components function correctly. Your ability to read and interpret planning documents, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering sketches allows you to execute tasks efficiently and accurately. You are detail-oriented and capable of maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting instrumentation and process controls, ensuring that all systems operate at peak performance.

Desirable

Experience with wiring electrical panels and performing continuity checks is a plus. Familiarity with using measuring instruments such as ohmmeters and continuity checkers will enhance your ability to locate and correct wiring errors. A background in working with developmental and production electrical and electronic units will be beneficial in this role.

What you'll do

As an Electronics Technician at SpaceX, you will play a crucial role in supporting our launch vehicles and spacecraft. You will be responsible for the installation of connectors, connector pins, terminals, and lugs, completing necessary instrumentation of test stands and data acquisition systems. Your expertise will be vital in laying out, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying electrical and electronic units, assemblies, components, and systems. You will work closely with engineers to ensure that all instrumentation and data acquisition systems are functioning correctly and efficiently.

You will also be tasked with maintaining and calibrating instrumentation and process controls, monitoring their performance, and making necessary adjustments to optimize functionality. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that all technical requirements are met and that testing processes run smoothly. You will contribute to the development of innovative solutions that support SpaceX's mission to enable human life on Mars.
