Amazon is hiring a Controls Engineer to support the AWS Control, Deployment and Service Team in Kuala Lumpur. You'll work on data center building automation systems and collaborate with a diverse team to ensure operational excellence. This role requires experience with AWS and a strong understanding of control systems.

Who you are

You have a solid background in engineering, particularly in controls and automation systems, with experience in data center operations. You understand the complexities of building management systems and are adept at troubleshooting and optimizing these systems to ensure reliability and efficiency. Your collaborative spirit allows you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and network engineers, to deliver high-quality solutions. You are committed to safety and security standards, ensuring that all operations meet the highest benchmarks. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to tackle challenging problems that impact the supply chain.

Desirable

Experience with AWS infrastructure and services is a plus, as is familiarity with electrical power systems and cooling equipment. You may also have knowledge of supply chain management principles, which can enhance your contributions to the team. A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies will serve you well in this role.

What you'll do

As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering and supporting data center building automation systems, ensuring they operate at peak performance. You will collaborate with various teams to monitor and maintain the health of AWS data centers, addressing any issues that arise promptly. Your role will involve analyzing system performance data to identify areas for improvement and implementing solutions that enhance operational efficiency. You will also participate in on-call support, providing expertise during critical incidents to minimize downtime and maintain service reliability.

In addition to technical responsibilities, you will contribute to project management efforts, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure that deployment timelines are met and that all systems are integrated seamlessly.
