Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • 10 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 8 years with with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
  • Experience in building, developing, or leading a team.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with financial processes such as order to cash cycle and related risks and controls.
  • Experience with F100.
  • Experience improving business processes and systems, with a proven ability to thrive in ambiguity.
  • Ability to lead and drive complex initiatives cross-functionally in a fluid environment across a global organization.
  • Excellent technical accounting skills, including an understanding of accounting principles, including US ASC 606, especially for professional services.

In this role, you will handle the core accounting and compliance responsibilities at Google while working closely with the business and finance partners to continue enabling the exceptional growth of Google Cloud. You know your accounting principles and the full financial process end to end. You will advise on financial and accounting matters and will review, analyze, and interpret data for accounting and reporting. You are continuously looking for ways to help the team get better at what we do, in the most efficient way possible. You will collaborate with the global team, advocate best practices. You move fast while keeping your attention to detail, and you tap into your problem-solving skills to support Google's business objectives.

  • Manage and develop a high-performing team to ensure accurate and timely business reporting, including the external disclosures of remaining performance obligations under ASC 606.
  • Identify and leverage technology to automate and innovate business accounting operations and reporting processes with the aim for accuracy, timeliness, and scalability.
  • Identify and mitigate risks through your knowledge of Google Cloud products and Order-to-Cash systems and cross-functional engagement.
  • Actively participate in timely completion and statutory audits of Google Cloud entities.
  • Partner closely with business and Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to measure and monitor business performance.
