Senior Analyst, IT SOX Internal Controls

Who you are

You have extensive experience in SOX frameworks and IT controls — you've successfully led compliance testing and understand the nuances of IT General Controls (ITGC) and IT Application Controls (ITAC). You are comfortable working independently and collaboratively with multiple teams in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Your background in technology allows you to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that compliance measures are understood and implemented effectively.

Desirable

Experience with IT application enhancements is a plus — you have a keen eye for identifying areas of improvement and can work with management to implement necessary changes. Familiarity with various compliance tools and methodologies will further enhance your ability to contribute to the team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead and manage SOX compliance walkthroughs and testing of ITGC and ITACs, ensuring that all controls are functioning as intended. You will collaborate with various departments to gather information and assess compliance risks, providing insights and recommendations based on your findings. Your role will also involve preparing detailed reports on compliance status and presenting these findings to management, highlighting areas of concern and suggesting actionable solutions.

You will be responsible for staying updated on changes in compliance regulations and best practices, ensuring that BuzzFeed remains compliant with all applicable laws and standards. Additionally, you will assist in training team members on compliance processes and the importance of maintaining strong internal controls.
