Senior Software Engineer - Backend

Who you are

You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with a strong focus on building production systems that scale effectively. You’ve owned services from design through deployment and have faced the challenges of debugging complex distributed systems. Your expertise in Java and Spring is deep, and you’ve successfully shipped high-throughput APIs that handle millions of requests. You understand service architecture, dependency injection, and testing strategies, ensuring that your code is both efficient and maintainable.

You are passionate about code quality and have a strong commitment to unit testing and continuous improvement. You thrive in collaborative environments, possessing excellent communication skills that enable you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX designers, and architects. Staying updated on emerging technologies is important to you, as you seek to apply the latest advancements in your work.

Desirable

Familiarity with Gradle, Maven, or jOOQ is a plus, as it aligns with the tools used in our development processes. You are also open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and architects to understand project requirements and technical specifications. You will design, develop, test, and maintain software applications, ensuring they meet high-quality standards and performance benchmarks. Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code is a core responsibility, and you will adhere to coding standards and best practices throughout the development lifecycle.

Conducting code reviews will be a regular part of your duties, as you aim to increase code quality, consistency, and alignment with product design and architecture. You will analyze, troubleshoot, and debug product defects, providing timely solutions to customer issues.
