You have a proven track record in sales leadership, particularly in the software industry, with at least 5 years of experience in a sales management role. You understand the nuances of selling complex software solutions and have successfully built and led high-performing sales teams. Your ability to strategize and execute sales plans has resulted in significant revenue growth in your previous roles. You are adept at leveraging data to drive decision-making and possess strong analytical skills that help you identify market opportunities and customer needs.

You thrive in a collaborative environment and are skilled at building relationships with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and customer success. Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to articulate the value of GitLab's offerings to potential clients effectively. You are passionate about technology and have a deep understanding of DevSecOps principles, which enables you to engage with technical stakeholders confidently.

You are results-driven and have a strong sense of accountability. You set ambitious goals for yourself and your team and are committed to achieving them. What you'll do

As the Director of Regional Sales - New Business at GitLab, you will be responsible for building and leading a dedicated new logo function across the Americas. Your primary focus will be on acquiring first-time customers for GitLab's open-source, DevSecOps, and SaaS platform. You will report directly to the Vice President for New Business and will play a crucial role in shaping the sales strategy for the region.

You will design and execute scalable sales processes that align with GitLab's mission and values. This includes developing sales training programs to equip your team with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed. You will also be responsible for setting performance metrics and ensuring that your team meets or exceeds sales targets.

You will also engage with product teams to provide feedback on customer needs and market trends, ensuring that GitLab's offerings remain competitive and relevant.
