You have extensive experience in agency accounting, ideally with over 5 years in a leadership role. Your background includes managing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. You are fluent in NetSuite and Mediaocean, which are critical tools for this position. You thrive in a hands-on environment and are comfortable operating independently while collaborating closely with senior leadership. Your strong communication skills enable you to act as a steady escalation point for both internal stakeholders and external vendors. You understand the nuances of working in a fast-paced advertising agency and can adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Experience with month-end close processes is a plus, as is familiarity with the advertising industry. You are proactive in identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions that enhance operational efficiency. Your ability to mentor and lead a small team will be essential in maintaining continuity during the maternity leave of the current director. You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy in all accounting operations.
In this role, you will oversee critical month-end close activities, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported. You will manage a small team, providing guidance and support to ensure that all accounting operations run smoothly. Your responsibilities will include reviewing media and pass-through billing to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies. You will act as a liaison between various departments, facilitating communication and collaboration to resolve any accounting-related issues. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing financial reports and presenting them to senior leadership, highlighting key insights and trends.
You will also play a key role in training and onboarding new team members, sharing your expertise in agency accounting practices. Your leadership will help foster a positive team environment, encouraging collaboration and professional growth among your team members. As you step into this role, you will be expected to quickly familiarize yourself with existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Your ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines will be crucial in this fast-paced environment.
