Google is seeking an Application Engineer for Supply Chain Systems to implement and customize business applications. You'll work with Java and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet user needs. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical field and relevant experience.
You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field — or equivalent practical experience. You possess experience working with Java, which is essential for this role. You have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, enabling you to lead all aspects of web development, requirements gathering, software development, testing, documentation, training, implementation, ongoing support, and maintenance for both in-house and customer-facing web applications. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and translating business requirements into technical solutions. You are empowered to act like an owner, take action, and innovate to meet user and customer needs.
A Master's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related technical field is preferred. Experience implementing, customizing, or integrating third-party applications within business enterprise software is a plus. Knowledge of the software implementation life-cycle, including analysis, design, build, test, implement, and support, will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
In this role, you will conduct and oversee testing of application modules to ensure they meet specifications. You will collaborate with analysts and business process owners within one or more teams to help translate business requirements into technical solutions. You will be responsible for supporting Google’s technology life-cycle, collaboration and spaces, service delivery management, and data and business intelligence. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of Googlers, using UI and functional specs/prototypes as input to guide your development efforts. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of Google’s supply chain systems.
Google offers a competitive salary range for this full-time position, with a base salary between $113,000 and $161,000, plus bonuses.
