You have a strong background in engineering management, with experience leading teams of engineers to deliver impactful results. You thrive in high-ambiguity environments and are passionate about fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Your leadership skills are complemented by technical expertise, particularly in building web applications using Ruby on Rails and React. You have a proven track record of partnering with product managers to set strategic direction and drive execution through standard Agile processes. You understand the importance of effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and clarity in project goals. As the Engineering Manager for the DocSend team at Dropbox, you will lead a full-stack product engineering team of approximately 11 engineers. You will partner closely with a Product Manager and Designer to plan roadmaps and sprints, ensuring that your team is aligned with business objectives and customer needs. You will drive results for customers by owning execution for your team through standard Agile processes, including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives. Your role will involve mentoring and developing your team members, helping them grow in their careers while delivering high-quality software solutions. You will also be responsible for fostering a culture of engineering excellence, encouraging best practices in coding, testing, and deployment. You will work collaboratively with other teams within Dropbox to build the future of the company, focusing on expanding the Virtual Data Room business and introducing AI-enabled features. Your contributions will directly impact the growth and success of DocSend, as you help shape the direction of the product and the team.
