Overview

Google is seeking a Software Engineer III specializing in AI/ML and Extended Reality. You'll work on cutting-edge technologies in computer vision and machine learning infrastructure. This role requires experience in C++ or Python and a strong understanding of algorithms.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 2 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages. If you hold an advanced degree, you have at least 1 year of relevant experience. You possess a solid foundation in computer vision, having spent at least 1 year working in this area. Your experience extends to machine learning infrastructure, where you have engaged in model deployment, evaluation, optimization, and data processing. You are familiar with data structures and algorithms, having spent 2 years honing these skills. You have a passion for developing accessible technologies and have experience creating software applications using C++ or Python. Additionally, you have worked with Android devices and virtual machines, and you are well-versed in the latest research in AI, having read papers from leading conferences and journals.

Desirable

A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field would be a plus, as would any experience you have in developing software applications that enhance user accessibility. Your familiarity with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning will set you apart, as will your ability to contribute to projects that require innovative thinking and problem-solving.

What you'll do

As a Software Engineer III at Google, you will be tasked with developing next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect and interact with information. You will work on specific projects that are critical to Google’s needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as the business evolves.
