Carvana is seeking a Level 3 Heavy Body Technician to perform extensive bodywork and train other technicians. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of professional automotive bodywork experience.
You have a minimum of 5 years of professional automotive bodywork experience, demonstrating your expertise in various bodywork techniques. As an Experienced Heavy Body Technician, you are skilled in heavy plastic welding, metal pulling, straightening, shrinking, and stud welding. You are also proficient in roof and rocker panel repair, as well as large area, heavy bodywork including Bondo repair. Your experience allows you to train other autobody technicians, sharing your knowledge and skills to enhance the team's capabilities.
You are a team player who is committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences. You understand the importance of meeting deadlines and are willing to work mandatory overtime when necessary to ensure that vehicles are delivered on time. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality make you a valuable asset to the Carvana team.
In this role, you will perform extensive bodywork on multiple panels, utilizing state-of-the-art tools in one of Carvana's high-tech Inspection Centers. You will be responsible for training and mentoring other autobody technicians, ensuring that they develop their skills and contribute effectively to the team. Your expertise in heavy bodywork will be crucial in maintaining the high standards that Carvana is known for.
You will collaborate closely with other team members to ensure that all bodywork is completed to the highest quality standards. This includes assessing damage, determining the best repair methods, and executing repairs efficiently. You will also be involved in maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols, and ensuring that all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
As part of your responsibilities, you will communicate with management regarding any challenges or issues that arise during the repair process. Your ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively will be essential in meeting the demands of the role. You will also participate in ongoing training programs to stay updated on the latest techniques and technologies in the automotive repair industry.
