Google is seeking a Program Manager II for their Software Engineering team in Google Ads. You'll lead complex projects, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure effective communication across stakeholders. This role requires experience in program management and familiarity with ads platforms.
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 2 years of experience in program or project management. Your background includes a solid understanding of the software development life cycle and managing engineering programs, particularly in consumer-facing products. You have experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects, ideally within ads platforms or ad tech. Familiarity with Google Ads, Display, or UX is a plus, as is experience with release management lifecycles and project milestones. You believe that a problem isn’t truly solved until it’s resolved for all, and you are committed to building products that create opportunities for everyone.
As a Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. Your role involves working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You will coordinate efforts across different offices, time zones, and hemispheres, ensuring that all players are kept up to date on progress and deadlines. You will maintain project trackers and status reports, proactively managing dependencies and executing change management requirements identified by program stakeholders. Building trusted relationships with program stakeholders is crucial, as you will manage their expectations and ensure they have the insights needed to make effective decisions.
