Chime is seeking a Senior Director of Procurement and Third Party Risk to lead procurement functions and manage vendor relationships. This role requires strong leadership skills and experience in procurement strategy. The position is based in San Francisco.
You have extensive experience in procurement and risk management, ideally in a public-company environment. Your leadership skills are proven, and you have successfully developed high-performing teams that deliver strong commercial outcomes while managing risks effectively. You understand the complexities of vendor management and are adept at establishing procurement policies that ensure compliance and transparency. You are a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, capable of shaping vendor strategies and managing risk tradeoffs. Your strategic mindset allows you to define and execute sourcing strategies across various business functions, including technology, marketing, and operations.
Experience in a fast-paced fintech environment would be a plus. Familiarity with regulatory expectations and compliance in procurement processes is highly desirable. You are comfortable working with senior leadership and have a track record of influencing decision-making at the executive level.
In this role, you will lead the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, overseeing everything from vendor selection to ongoing management and renewals. You will define sourcing strategies that align with the company's growth objectives while ensuring effective risk management. Your responsibilities will include negotiating contracts and managing partnerships across various departments. You will work closely with business leaders to deliver strong commercial outcomes while maintaining compliance with public-company standards. You will also be responsible for establishing controls and reporting mechanisms that support transparency and governance in procurement processes. As a leader, you will mentor and develop your team, fostering a culture of integrity and high performance.
Chime offers a competitive salary starting at $199,000, with the potential to reach up to $275,000 based on experience. Full-time employees are eligible for bonuses and a competitive equity package, along with comprehensive benefits.
