As a Technical Program Manager in the AWS SOC Software engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering complex, high security impact products that span hardware, software, and operations. You will own the entire product lifecycle from defining the program's mission and vision to driving delivery and measuring success. You'll be responsible for overall strategy, resource allocation, and aligning business and technical stakeholder needs. Your technical breadth across hardware, software, and AI will be crucial in driving system architectures, making informed decisions, and setting engineering priorities.
You'll need to be adept at risk management, data-driven decision making, and process optimization. You will regularly exercise your communication skills to write narratives, present to senior leadership, and build consensus among diverse teams. You will drive organizational planning, mentor team members, and participate in the career development of other technical program managers. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics to deliver impactful results.

- Manage large, complex technology products across multiple teams and organizations
- Drive project execution while making trade-off recommendations, understand the technical challenges, enable solutions, report on status, and resolve blocking issues.
- Communicate effectively with various functional stakeholders, including senior leadership
- Set clear goals, priorities, and make data-driven decisions
- Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
