Job Description

Amazon LEO is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Amazon Leo will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

We're seeking an innovative and collaborative Senior Operations Program Manager to drive critical aviation hardware development programs from concept to production. In this pivotal role, you'll orchestrate complex manufacturing processes, optimize product lifecycles, effectively manage assembly yields, and ensure seamless delivery of innovative customer terminal products. Your strategic leadership will directly impact our ability to bring transformative aviation assembly technologies to market with precision and excellence on time.


Key job responsibilities
• Drive comprehensive manufacturing readiness across all development phases, owning critical operations commitments and milestones
• Optimize factory execution and yield management to meet channel fill requirements and product launch timelines
• Lead cross-functional initiatives involving Manufacturing engineering, Hardware R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain teams
• Manage complex program budgets and implement strategic cost optimization strategies
• Coordinate production line establishment, qualification, and continuous improvement processes


Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

A day in the life
Your day will be a dynamic blend of cross-functional collaboration, strategic planning, problem-solving, and hands-on program management. You'll engage with manufacturing engineers, technical program managers, and leadership to navigate the intricate journey of hardware development. From coordinating production line qualifications to driving yield improvements, you'll be the critical connector ensuring our aviation products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

We value transparent communication, empathetic collaboration, and the ability to balance complex trade-offs between quality, cost, and schedule.- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience in using statistical analysis to identify issues or opportunities for improvement
- Experience owning technology products- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Master's degree or equivalent
- 3+ years of hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace maintenance or hands-on engineering environment experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
