What you'll do

As a Senior Engineering Manager at Seccl, you will lead engineering delivery across the Tax Wrappers domain, overseeing the development of core products that are critical to the platform's success. You will initially manage a single squad of engineers, focusing on delivering high-quality features and enhancements while ensuring that your team adheres to best practices in software development. Your role will involve setting clear objectives and performance metrics for your team, guiding them through the development process, and providing mentorship to help them grow in their careers.

You will be responsible for hiring and building a second squad within your first few months, which will require you to identify talent that aligns with Seccl's values and mission. As your teams grow, you will lead them in closely related or adjacent problem spaces, ensuring that they collaborate effectively to deliver integrated solutions. You will work closely with product managers to define the roadmap for your domain, prioritizing features that will drive user engagement and satisfaction.

Collaboration is key in this role — you will partner with platform engineering, compliance, and senior leadership to ensure that all engineering efforts align with the company's strategic goals. You will also be involved in stakeholder management, communicating progress and challenges to ensure transparency and alignment across the organization.
