Overview

MOO is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the Post-Purchase domain, focusing on order orchestration, manufacturing, and customer support tooling. You'll collaborate with teams to enhance architecture and streamline operations. This role requires strong technical leadership and experience in engineering.

Job Description

Who you are

You have extensive experience in engineering, ideally with a focus on post-purchase processes that span both physical and digital realms. You understand the intricacies of order orchestration, manufacturing, and fulfillment, and you have a proven track record of improving data visibility across complex systems. Your ability to partner with cross-functional teams is key, as you will work closely with Nexus and Forge teams to deliver scalable architecture that meets the needs of the business.

You thrive in collaborative environments and are comfortable working in a hybrid model, spending 2-3 days a week in the East Providence office. Your communication skills allow you to effectively unblock cross-team delivery and ensure that all stakeholders are aligned on project goals. You are adaptable and open to occasional travel to London to engage with the engineering team based there.

Desirable

Experience with customer support tooling and operational improvements is a plus. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and the ability to integrate new carriers into existing systems will set you apart. You are a strategic thinker who can balance technical requirements with business objectives, ensuring that customer experience and margin are protected as the company scales.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead initiatives that enhance MOO's Post-Purchase domain, focusing on order orchestration and fulfillment processes. You will be responsible for consolidating tooling for customer support and operations, which involves improving data visibility across the order journey. Your leadership will be crucial in integrating new carriers and increasing throughput in manufacturing while maintaining a high standard of customer experience.

You will collaborate with various teams to develop a coherent and scalable architecture that supports the company's growth. This includes identifying bottlenecks in current processes and implementing solutions that streamline operations. Your technical expertise will guide the team in making informed decisions about system architecture and tooling.

You will also play a key role in mentoring junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and experience to foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders will be essential in ensuring that everyone is on the same page regarding project objectives and timelines.

What we offer

MOO provides a dynamic work environment where innovation is encouraged. You will be part of a diverse team that values collaboration and creativity. The company offers flexible working arrangements, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life effectively. As a Principal Engineer, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's operations and customer experience.

We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement. MOO is committed to building a diverse team and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds. Join us in our mission to shake up the world of print and digital products.
